In 2009 Connectors achieved a great deal in such a short time, and began to make a difference in their workplaces, homes and communities.

Waste Action Kit

In our final Action Kit for 2009, we've taken a Christmasy look at waste, with two enjoyable actions, and one that's a little dull, but has a big impact. Download the kit and all will be revealed.

Walk Against Warming

"While they talk the talk, we walked the walk, with up to 100,000 Australian's Walking Against Waming nationally. We told Kevin Rudd that the climate can't wait while politicians make excuses. We want a strong, fair and binding treaty out of Copenhagen that will deliver a safe climate future." www.walkagainstwarming.org

Earth Hour

Earth Hour will be held at 8.30pm local time, wherever you are, on Saturday March 27.

Energy Action Kit

For the second of the Union Climate Connectors action kits, the issue we're addressing is Energy.
Can't see it, but it's one of the major sources of our contribution to the climate crisis. So now's our chance to start making some changes to our own energy use and limit our input in all areas of our lives!

The Stories of Connectors

At the beginning of the Union Climate Connectors campaign, we asked Connectors to email in stories about why they joined the campaign, and why finding a solution to the climate crisis is important to them.

We got about 150 responses, here are a few:

Call for Climate Action

On Wednesday November 11, and Thursday November 12, 2009 Connectors came together with members of GetUp! to take part in A Call for Climate Action.

A crash course in democratic participation, those who took part were able to call our political representatives on the phone before they headed back to Canberra to decide our climate future.
