350.org Global Day of Climate Action took place on October 24, 2009 and saw 5200 in 181 different countries around the world!

We had an amazing event held with members of GetUp and Union Climate Connectors. People came along and made phone calls to Members of Parliament, Senators and Ministers from New South Wales and Queensland!

This was a fantastic turnout and resulted in more than 150 calls made over the 4 sessions in Brisbane and Sydney!

Connectors along with members of the Australian Conservation Foundation's, The Climate Project and GetUp! came together to have over 50 meetings with MPs and Senators the day before the bill on climate change was introduced to Parliament!

Over 100 000 people around Australia came out to walk the walk while they talked the talk in Copenhagen. Connectors were there!

On the shortest day of the year, nine Union Climate Connectors volunteered to brave the cold in Canberra to attend 56 meetings with politicians and advisors from all parties and all backgrounds in their Parliamentary offices.

Their mission: to let the pollies know Australians want strong climate policy on the agenda in the 2010 federal election. Alongside members of the the Al-Gore trained Climate Project - Australia and the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, our delegates represented a vast proportion of the public of Australia. Great work delegates!

Connectors joined the Walk across the country to show that we want strong action on climate change this election!
